Ulysses Grant Speed: Western Sculptures from the Bill Haw Sr. Collection

  • The Box Gallery 1000 Walnut Street Kansas City, MO, 64106 United States (map)

This exhibit features fourteen bronze sculptures by the artist Ulysses Grant Speed. These pieces, in the Western Art tradition, depict heroic, hardworking cowboys. They were collected by Bill Haw Sr., a Kansas City businessman, rancher and entrepreneur.

Speed’s work offers an artist’s reflection on a subject that was an important part of our region’s early history as an essential center of the cattle industry.

Opening Reception: Wednesday, April 9 | 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
