This exhibit features fourteen bronze sculptures by the artist Ulysses Grant Speed. These pieces, in the Western Art tradition, depict heroic, hardworking cowboys. They were collected by Bill Haw Sr., a Kansas City businessman, rancher and entrepreneur.
Speed’s work offers an artist’s reflection on a subject that was an important part of our region’s early history as an essential center of the cattle industry.
Opening Reception: Wednesday, April 9 | 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
