On loan from a local corporate collection, The Kansas City Collection: Our Town As Seen by Local Artists consists of representational paintings depicting scenes and icons of Kansas City.
Kansas City is a burgeoning center for the arts and culture in the Midwest, thanks to the quality and quantity of our local artists. A 2008 study identified over 3,200 visual artists in the Metro, the highest concentration of visual artists per capita found in any major city between the East and West coasts.
